What is this family tree about?
The Duck family tree posted on this website is a fan-made tree of the Duck family. It aims to include all relatives of Donald Duck that have appeared in any official media, including comics, cartoons, and other official sources by Disney as well as Warner Bros.
The tree is, as much as possible, based on canonical sources. However, some family connections within the tree are open to interpretation, due to contradicting sources and missing information. The family tree is thus ultimately an interpretation by fans and not anything official. More information on the sources can be found in the explanation table.
The website also contains a Carioca family tree, that aims to include all relatives of José Carioca.
Who created it?
The family tree has been created by members of The Feathery Society, a Disney Comics English Fan Forum. The project was started in 2021 by LP, who created an extended and improved version of the family tree originally concieved by Gilles Maurice (2001 – 2006). Among the forum members who contributed to the further development of the tree, are: Farmspirit, Sim, That Duckfan, Stuftmcduck, TheMidgetMoose, Scrooge MacDuck, Fethryfan, Scroogerello, Ramapith, Rrr, and many others. Alquackskey put together the explanation table, and Mkr has created this website.
How can I contribute?
The family tree is “work in progress”, as it is continuously updated when new relatives are found, or corrected when errors are uncovered.
